When the story begins, you have just woken up after a storm with no memory of where you are or what you were doing. Also, a couple of things you do appear in the main game. In the hidden object scenes, the items you need to find are listed in the Object List at the bottom of the screen. It blew me away then and still tickles my fancy now. Its so rare that sequels live up to the standards of the first game and this is one of them. I didn't get bored with the story, like I do with many games. Very creepy, very Silence of the Lambs-esque. While Enigmatis is predominately a hidden object game, it has much more depth than many of the games in the genre. It is kept up to date with sketches, notes and clues that you can reference at any time and it really adds a lot of information to the story. Your journal is also an amazing source of information. My only regret is that I found out that this title comes before Mists of Ravenwood after playing Mists first. The hidden object scenes are really the only weak area of the game. This is a very nice addition that more games should consider adding. Also, if you are playing in casual mode, there is no click penalty! The puzzles in this game were a bit tricky but doable.

The hidden Sparkle Unleashed scenes are really the Enig, atis: weak area of the game. Evidence items go into the Evidence tab at the bottom right of the screen. Strangely not many developers copied it like they copy everything else. The way this game starts Enigmatiss: unique and I liked having her flashback to what she remembers the more she searches "I remember now I didn't get bored with the story, like I do with many games. Oh, well, still loved the game. I rarely replay games so you know this one has to be a favorite of mine. There is a pen writing noise and while she writes it out, she reads it aloud. I rarely use the notebook in games. Its also a long game. The hidden object scenes are really the only weak area of the game. You are one of my all time favorites!! Also, a couple of things you do appear in the main game. I understood the past enough through the main game so the recap wasn't necessary. I could also use the hint in the hidden object scene without fear I'd lose the achievement for no hints used all game. There are many twists and turns in this game along with lots of hidden areas to explore. However, the layout of this game is easy to remember and so even though there was a lot of back and forth, I didn't find it to be treacherous like in some other games. The plot is great and keeps going into the other games in this series hence why I needed a refresher. Each scene is visited times but I was never asked to find the same item twice.

The scenes are well drawn and the objects fit the scenes although many of the scenes could be categorized as junk piles but many of the objects are extremely small and since the scenes are dark they are doubly hard to find. I like the creativity put into this game. The game only has 2 modes of difficulty. It blew me away then and still tickles my Ghoste now.
