A sinister conspiracy is brewing and only the most capable private detective can help! Outsmart the villain and strike first! If you don't care about game play and are willing to purchase a new mouse - I say buy it. Write a post! If you are new to this type of game, I would suggest passing on this one, the tutorial isn't very informative and the grids progress quickly, the storyline is nonexistent, the grids only have one basic color, and the final picture often leaves you scratching your head as you try to figure out what it represents. I was not wrong in the assessment. This dev doesn't offer any story, despite one being promised, in any of their picross games.

I like the Jump Jump Jelly Reactor in WM, and really loved the professor's corny jokes in GS. I enjoy playing these types of games and it is nice that they take so long to Tradewinds Classic. However, I have been spoiled by the offerings of another dev, which provides auto-fill in and multiple screens of varying colors. I have become quite spoiled at having the tri-colored grids that Fantasy provides, so these monochromatic entries started to bore me after about 20 minutes. This is a form of Sudoku in which you must calculate which squares are filled in and which are not. In this particular case, there is no story to be immersed in, there's no detective, no riddles and no mention of Sherlock Holmes. This is a pic cross type game where you deduce which cells are filled or crossed off in each row and column with at least one empty cell between each set of numbers. I expected from the name to find this game to be a mix of the puzzle grids and some sort of riddle to be solved. Griddlers or Mosaic puzzles require you to fill in squares on grids of different sizes. I suppose fanatic nanogram players might find Sherlock's Heritage to be a solid effort. The only thing I wish could be changed in these games is the requirement of making zero mistakes in order to win all the stars for that location.

The scoring screens after each round took a bit long to disappear or maybe I'm still too grouchy this morning! Just put your thinking cap on. Hope you also enjoy it. I'm not a big fan of Fantasy Mosaics, either, but they are better than this one. Love them. I am always happy to get any nonogram games. The background music and the hooting owl sounds out after solving a grid also got hard to take. I never use hints while playing griddlers. From what I can tell, there isn't a storyline of any kind, just dark backgrounds with a chimpanzee who can apparently fly because he has a set of wings. You must start all over again - which is annoying. These nonogram puzzles are easier to solve at first and get more challenging and time-consuming as the game progresses. I love these games, but my favorites are the Arizona and Gizmo puzzles for the simple fact that there is a clue in each one, no guessing, in solving them. If I had settled for only one star, of course, I would have finished more quickly. There are numbers on each column and row, and each set of numbers must be separated by at least one empty cell.

  3. I never ran out of points to buy the hints. Left clicking fills the cells and right clicking crosses them off, and the goal is to earn 3 stars per level, you get a star deducted for each mistake. What Case Did I Solve? No one's written about Detective Riddles - Sherlock's Heritage 2 yet. Let's see you fill them all with NO mistakes and NO hints.

  5. I also don't care for pictures that don't look like anything, though I personally don't mind single color puzzles. I've played the first and second part and they are pretty much the same. I didn't find an option at all for the tutorial, I usually opt for the tutorial so I can critique it. IMHO, the game might become boring; but on the plus side, it does seem to be a very long game, with multiple layers of difficulty, which might make it more interesting. I play these all the time.

  6. Fantasy Mosaic just released 9 yesterday. The graphics are nice, and the puzzle doesn't automatically cross off numbers before the blanks are filled in a row or column, so in those areas it was satisfactory. No one's written about Detective Riddles - Sherlock's Heritage 2 yet. Discuss with other players!

Also, only allowed 2 errors? Do you have an issue with your game?
