Whispered Secrets: Into the Beyond

Journey to a strange new dimension in Whispered Secrets: Into the Unknown! You and your fiancé, Tim, have been happily preparing for your wedding day. But on the eve of your wedding, your future mother-in-law is poisoned. Tim has the scientific knowledge to cure her, but he's just been abducted by a mad inventor! As you set out to find Tim, you quickly realize he's been taken much farther away than you could have imagined – into another dimension! Explore a bizarre world and discover its secrets as you race against time to save your family in this beautiful Hidden Object adventure!

I skipped two mini-puzzles. The puzzles are not very creative or new, but they are fairly fun to solve. This was a new story for me and I enjoyed it. The art-style in this game reminds us pretty much of ERS Games. Important information will be added to the diary as you play, so be sure to check here if you need a recap. The first one is The Story of Tideville. If you don't like HO scenes, you have the option of switching to a match three game. Fantastic transporter map that indicated where action was needed so you didn't have to guess which "active" site was the one to go to. I loved the fact that I was not running back and forth for objects to use in the game. Other bonus features are those that are expected, gallery items, achievements, soundtracks and strategy guide. This is an entertaining game that will keep your interest from start to finish, enjoy! If you love collecting Collectibles, you will probably going to love this game for the fact that there are mechanical, flying eyes to collect. HOS: Found by word list and are not interactive but you will have to "move" some things to get to some of them. Liked that you could zoom in on hidden object scenes.

These were nicely done for me. My grandchildren truly enjoyed finding the items with me. Good mini games. The only two criticisms I have about this game is the black bar tips on the hardest mode and the skip is way too slow. Date published: Magnifying Glass - When you can zoom into an area, your cursor will change to a magnifying glass. I do like to figure out on my own and when I want to skip something well that's what I want to do is skip it. Had times things got glitchy. Observers - There are observers in the game for you to find. There were "other" things to look for in each scene, but I didn't mind looking for them, they seemed right for the story. Look for them in every scene. And I need to finish the bonus game! A sort of murder mystery and track down the mad-scientist game. The hints work well and will lead you if needed. Great voice-overs, animations and the graphics were clear and well colored.

The little details amazed me, like leaves blowing in the wind, cats purring in the background many cats in this game hehe and the way they had things actually move was really cool. However, when a mysterious parcel arrives addressed to your future mother-in-law that contains a poison that renders her extremely ill, right before your fiance is dragged through a portal to another dimension, you know that worrying about your inebriated relatives falling asleep in the soup bowl is the least of your wedding day worries!

Dragonfly - Once you find the dragonfly, it can help you remove toxic fumes from certain locations. The Hidden Object scenes are a little crowded but not too crowded that objects are impossible to find. Good game uh, with help. Story line, OK. Grimoire Chronicles really don't care about extras and I didn't need the walk through. For now, it's in my "might buy" list. I went through the whole game and am halfway through the bonus play so I can say without a doubt, this one is a keeper. Some of the puzzles were challenging, but most were fairly easy to solve. This is the type of game you love to play. The music is so relaxing it put me to sleep twice. Most very easy, some required a little thought and some downright frustrating and annoying. The voice overs also very well done. The music was sweet and it wasn't full of unexpected treachery. A mechanical dragonfly will allow you to convert the poison gas into a viable source of energy and there are lot's of mechanical gadgets to figure out. Pretty good voice overs. I was expecting very little since it was an older game. Map - The map is found in the bottom left corner of your screen.

  1. It is not only the town you get to visit, you can journey to different worlds beyond our own, even though this idea is not complete original, it is still interesting. As always, thanks GameHouse! I loved the fact that I was not running back and forth for objects to use in the game. I like that it just continues. The voice overs also very well done.

  2. This to me is a sign of a game maker that pays attention. The first being Whispered Secrets: The Story of Tideville and while it's not absolutely necessary to play the first I recommend it. Just like the first game in this series I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Transporter map. You can switch to match 3 if you want.

  3. I'd like to play more of these. I did enjoy the different challenges they had throughout the game levels. It has a map and journal.

  4. No going back and forth and I loved the plot and the graphics. We honestly do not know whether this is a good or bad thing, 2 or 3 collectibles per scene are bearable but 4 or 5? In Hard Mode, the hint and skip buttons charge very slowly, there are no sparkles to indicate active areas or hidden object areas, and there are penalties in HO scenes. I thought this was very really well told.

  5. For now, it's in my "might buy" list. I play for the hops and it has a nice number of 25 hops. The graphics for me were excellent. Good mini games.
