League of Light: The Gatherer

From Mariaglorum, creators of the popular Mystery of the Ancients series, comes another exciting case for the League of Light! After saving the Hunter and his son from a nefarious witch, you never thought you'd be back in Blake’s Mountain. Now the Hunter needs the League's help again – someone has been following him, and he fears for his family. But when you arrive to investigate... you're arrested for trespassing! Someone in town is impersonating a League of Light agent, using the cover to stalk and capture the Hunter. Can you and your little scarecrow friend track down the imposter and uncover his devious plans? Find out in this spooky Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game!

Little scarecrow is adorable. How on earth will you solve this case? I bought this game and the sequel because I was curious to find out what happened to the little scarecrow. Otherwise, BUY this beauty and enjoy! It is not long before you find yourself in chains and now you must escape before you will be able to help anyone. The villain pushes me into a pit and little scarecrow too? He is super adorable! However, upon your arrival you are arrested for trespassing just as your investigation begins. Really, landing a balloon on the ship and nobody notices? Once again we have our little scarecrow helper but this time we witness his transformation from average boy to scarecrow as he is trying to help us very early in the game. I actually liked the storyline and found the game quite entertaining. Help the Hunter keep his family safe and track down the imposter before they can complete their dastardly plan.

So if you haven't played that one you can still figure this one out as it's pretty straight forward with the story but if you played the wicked harvest first you have more backstory for you to go on. There was one part of the game when a character was speaking and it was very light and had a echo to the voice but I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be like that because of where the character was position from you or if that was just a bad recording. I'm hoping this is the beginning of a move away from the "moving cut-outs" and way too many pencil drawings of recent games on BFG. Very nice mini games. The CE version of the game is fairly light on extras so it is a matter of preference between buying the CE or waiting for the SE release a month from now. Will you be able to pull this off in time and uncover the imposter and foil their plans? We all like different things in games but I was surprised at the low ratings given to the game by some other reviewers. Thankfully, this one is very well-done in that area. It's really-really fun to play, it makes use of all the potential items you have to gather and combine, it has a slightly different take on the mini HOGs and to top it all, its story is actually well thought out and draws you in.

It's really-really fun to play, it makes use of all the potential items you have to gather and combine, it has a slightly different take on the mini HOGs and to top it all, its story is actually well thought out and draws you in. Generally the minis increase in difficulty as we play through the game so I am holding out hope for so more challenging puzzles later. I guess because the production values are so good I expect the story to be the same. Really, landing a balloon on the ship and nobody notices? Your tools include a transporter type map and a little scarecrow helper who I happen to think is quite cute.
