The dark Sorcerer Spider has risen to power once again, and you are the only one who can stop him! This time the wicked wizard has taken over Rainbow Village. The once cheerful place is desolate, and the people are desperately begging for someone to save them. Maybe I just haven't found it yet? It is much more of a brainbender, especially since there is no power-ups I always find them to be a bit like Rainboe anyway AND a timer!! This is not the kind of game for people looking for excitement or the kind of story that immerses you, but when it comes Rainbow Web 3 puzzle games and a new, more challenging "Match 3" type, you'll most definitely enjoy Rainbow Web 3! This is the third game in the series and is by far the best, though Raknbow was one thing I missed from the second in Ellys Cake Cafe series - the scoreboard showing the number of moves taken to complete a board when playing in untimed mode.

The semi-hangman part of the game comes into play with a phrase that is shown for each puzzle that must be filled in by removing the relevant letters from the web by the Match 3 process. Challenge is great - need to be aware where the web lines go. There is a good variety of patterns and obstacles to overcome. Storyline: The Evil Spider was overthrown in the previous version of this game. Once completed, on to the next one! Luckily, there are plenty of tools available to make your quest much easier if you so choose. I have played it through at least 4 times and it doesn't get old like some games do. I would think making matches of more than 3 as in other match 3 games, other bonuses would be awarded. If finding beads that match is proving too difficult for you, then simply allow for hints to pop up and show you the way. Charge it up by destroying beads and use it to smash one of your choosing! Once you have completed all the levels and the game is done you can't restart to see if you can do better. Although the location scenes are beautiful, almost picture perfect, the added graphics are rather dark and dull. The hidden item games at the end of each level was different from all the other web games. Collect rainbow dust from every match three round. And sometimes there are parts of the web missing, making some letters extremely isolated. The game moves you from the valley floor to the top of the mountain. I enjoyed this game so much that I kept playing it until I got too tired to make good moves or my eyes gave out.

I often enjoy records like this so that I can attempt to beat my own previous best score, and it is this kind of thing which keeps me returning to play the game. As a result, I am purchasing the other 2 games in this series, hoping they will be as entertaining and challenging. Skip puzzles if they are really wracking your head. Watch out! But still, it's really a nice little game. If there is a fourth one, I'll buy it too! Somewhat challenging, but relaxing, at the same time. This game is a bit hard when you get to the upper levels. And even if you have, if you enjoyed the others, I think you will like this one even more. The background music is rather relaxing, actually, and there is certainly replay value. Loved it! Charge it again to strike another letter. It takes a lot of concentration, which is why the mediocre graphics are not that big a deal.

I started the game over right after I finished, which is something I rarely do. I really enjoy playing it but I don't like the spider, I wish he would move somewhere. Only question is, they talk about "where are the villagers? The bad things: the graphics. I would like to have seen a freeplay option, so that I could play the match three element of the game without the story and with more difficult and challenging boards. Challenge is great - need to be aware where the web lines go. Simple enough but challenge is raised as one progresses. If there is a fourth one, I'll buy it too! There are no actual spiders to be seen.

  1. A hammer in the upper right hand of the screen becomes charged and can be used to strike out 1 letter. I really enjoy playing it but I don't like the spider, I wish he would move somewhere. So, in essence, you can just play this as a match three with a helpful power up..

On a technical note, I did notice that sometimes the wide screen option did not work and the game did not fill the screen. Jubii I don't get why people don't like timers, IMO it's much better with the challange.

  4. Once into it, keeps your interest - you become addicted quickly. The music is charming and the match sounds are good. The hidden item games at the end of each level was different from all the other web games. But one thing is for sure -- if you have not played any of these games, it is definitely different. Even the rainbows are lack lustre.

  5. The story is silly and is just there as an extra incentive to keep you playing. Only question is, they talk about "where are the villagers? I love that you get an unlimited number of tries, and no time limits, either.

I would like to have seen a freeplay option, so that I could play the match three element of the game without the story and with more difficult and challenging boards. Much better than RW 2 no timer!!! Once you have completed all the levels and the game is done you can't restart to see if you can do better.
