Empress of the Deep 2: Song of the Blue Whale

Anna awakens on a mysterious tiny island after escaping the destruction of her underwater kingdom. She must find her way to a mystical floating cloud city in the sky, seek out the four Children of Light and save them from the twisted clutches of the Evil Empress Pandora. Along the way she must rescue and heal enchanted animal slaves in this fantastic Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game!

As the empress you're charged with releasing four children imprisoned by your evil sister, but are some twists to the tale that keep it from being stale. The Mini Games are fairly easy, there are a lot of puzzles requiring you to flip tiles over until a picture is complete, the only thing difficult, is figuring out which picture is the correct one. A few puzzles not worth talking about. Some puzzles require you to direct beams of light to light up all orbs using mirrors and splitters, or connect all circuits by rotating directional paths on each tile. I also liked the story line. But I did like the additional Zem scenes at the end as well as the Zem game itself. All the wildlife looked realistic, and were accompanied by realistic animal sounds This installment of the Empress of the Deep was as good, maybe better than the first. Hope number 3 is in the offing soon! This game is absolutely gorgeous, excites and invites the imagination to experience the blessing of its being. If you play these games all the time, like I do, then you'll notice it's a little too short, but aside from that it's a great buy! I played this game solely on recomendations and they were spot on!!! I liked the storyline of restoring the seasons and helping the animals but it is kind of easy to predict how it ends. I found I could relax into this game but boring it certainly isn't There is also the addictive "Zen" game which kept me busy for ages. You don't just wade through a junk pile; the objects blend into the scenery.

It was better than the first EOD, and passed a good hours at my snailish pace nicely. No upload or technical problems noted. However, to my disappointment, it rates only as okay in my book. I played this game solely on recomendations and they were spot on!!! This game is absolutely gorgeous, excites and invites the imagination to experience the blessing of its being. The graphics are crystal clear Over all I really liked this one and I may play it again on the hard difficulty setting in a few months to see how I fair.. Now that I own this game, I will play it many times just out of sheer enjoyment. But I especially liked that once you've completed your tasks in a scene a large bubble pops up that says "area cleared," so you're not wasting time wondering if you've gotten to everything. It's incredibly positive for adults and children, alike. The graphics are good but I found the monotone colours in some of the HO scenes made it difficult to find some of the objects. The richness of the scenes and the variation in the scenes did not allow you to become bored.

No way will I buy it. Loved loved loved all the animals yhe this Deeep idea, maybe more ghe be worked out for a third Empress??? Now that I tye this game, I will play it many times just out of sheer enjoyment. I always think, The Promised Land it be grand to have such a world. Still, it's fun and I will definitely be recommending to a friend. Had to bypass a few puzzles, but when Sparkle 2 play again will do better I hope. But I did like the additional Zem scenes at Sparkle 2 end as well as the Zem game itself. Often you'll need to backtrack across a whole level to pick up an item you couldn't have possibly noticed before, and would never have known you needed without the hints. Beautiful graphics, great sound effects and soothing Whhale, easy to move around in and a bit twisty at the end. Over all I really liked this one and I may play it again on the hard difficulty setting in a few months to see how I fair. I hate to gush. Throughout the game you pick up Diary cartridges that you use in the Secret Room to get access to the extra game, Zem. You go through one after another beautiful, elaborate scene with special Amazing Adventures Riddle of the Two Knights -- only to pick up one or two items. It was better than the first EOD, and passed a good hours at my snailish pace nicely.

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by spiritlaughing from Fantasy Fun Throughly enjoyed this one. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing this type game. Pandora was evil, and she destroyed the underwater Ark, as well as herself, Anna barely escaped. This game is absolutely gorgeous, excites and invites the imagination to experience the blessing of its being. You have to find them all to get access to the ZEM area. No way will I buy it. I am waiting patiently for the next installment. It's the kind of thing you can get hooked on because you want to beat your score. I have given the platinum edtion four stars only because I don't think enough was added to the game to make it worthwhile. Had to bypass a few puzzles, but when I play again will do better I hope. This game fits that bill as you help Anna save all of the animal guardians of the cloud city! Can't wait for the next one to be continued Note that the HO part is minimal, fairly easy, and at least the hidden object games relate to the story. If you play these games all the time, like I do, then you'll notice it's a little too short, but aside from that it's a great buy!

But I did like Slng additional Farm Frenzy: Ancient Rome scenes at the end as Sky Taxi: GMO Armageddon as the Zem game itself. Another great game! It would be nice to have the option to get just a nudge in the right direction instead of just skipping the puzzle entirely or being told exactly what to do. Issues like this suggest that too little care has gone into drawing you into the story. That was really helpful, but if you can get through without using it Super Granny 5 bravo to you! There are HOs to find and mini games to figure out. Sometimes I stopped play just to listen. Loved loved loved all the animals in this one, great idea, maybe more could be worked out for a third Empress??? Why get the CE -- well, you will collect 6 items that give you pages from the wicked sister's diary -- a little more insight into the story, but that's not the best part. The mini-games are not overly challenging, but they are enjoyable. I don't think they've worked the right balance in there yet. I didn't find all the cartridges necessary to unlock the bonus game, but wasn't interested in going back to find oc rest. Graphics were beautiful. This is the first strategy game I've played that actually made some sense, and is designed for the player to succeed rather than be frustrated and quit. A sequence to come? The hidden object scenes -- I really admire the effort taken to truly hide some objects in the old fashioned way. Often you'll need to backtrack across a whole level to pick up an item you couldn't have possibly noticed before, and would never have known you needed without the hints. The game is player-friendly with prompts in each scene, such as arrows that indicate your next direction, and a magnifying glass that appears on its own to draw you closer for a look. All the wildlife looked realistic, and were accompanied by realistic animal sounds This installment of the Empress of the Deep was as good, maybe better than the first. Across the nine fairly brief chapters, you'll do a modest amount of exploring well, tapping to go to a different areas , solve occasional puzzles that wouldn't cause Professor Layton to break a sweat matching shapes and patterns is apparently the only trick in the designer's brainteaser book , and hidden object-hunting. And the game actually throws in a bunch of new and exciting things and so while this one is quite different, it's still very enjoyable. Great special effects. A marvelous way for mother and daughter to bond and explore a beautiful, empowering, and uplifting world together. Some parts of the game made me think about what was needed in order for me to continue the game. Graphics display a high level of creative imagination and vision that makes you want to linger on each page and on each HOS.

  1. As the empress you're charged with releasing four children imprisoned by your evil sister, but are some twists to the tale that keep it from being stale. It was a good game. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by luvbaby from Beautifully designed game.

  2. My opinion is yes, the CE adds quite a bit to the game. I have given the platinum edtion four stars only because I don't think enough was added to the game to make it worthwhile. But frankly the Hints button does a pretty good job of helping you along, which isn't always true in games. A marvelous way for mother and daughter to bond and explore a beautiful, empowering, and uplifting world together.

  3. The mini-games are not overly challenging, but they are enjoyable. Graphics do not seem as fresh as the first games, but still well done. If you play these games all the time, like I do, then you'll notice it's a little too short, but aside from that it's a great buy! The music stands out with an ephemeral, magical theme and greatly enhances play.

  4. I found myself dawdling through HO scenes, taking in the sights and soaking up the atmosphere. You even have to solve 4 puzzles they are the same, so a bit of a disappointment there to finally get to ZEM -- so more playtime. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing this type game.

  5. This game introduces us to a new feature, collecting Crystal Dolphins that flutter about in select scenes. I am waiting patiently for the next installment. The game is player-friendly with prompts in each scene, such as arrows that indicate your next direction, and a magnifying glass that appears on its own to draw you closer for a look.

  6. Her twin sister Pandora had unrightfully claimed her position as Empress, and tricked Anna into following her directions instead of Jacobs. That said, the graphics are astounding and it was good fun. All the wildlife looked realistic, and were accompanied by realistic animal sounds This installment of the Empress of the Deep was as good, maybe better than the first.

  7. Loved loved loved all the animals in this one, great idea, maybe more could be worked out for a third Empress??? I don't think they've worked the right balance in there yet. That was really helpful, but if you can get through without using it then bravo to you!

  8. I just spent several hours saving the Children in this most delightful game. Some puzzles require you to direct beams of light to light up all orbs using mirrors and splitters, or connect all circuits by rotating directional paths on each tile. Hopefully there will be a third sequel to this amazing game with the beautiful graphics and twisted plots! You go through one after another beautiful, elaborate scene with special effects -- only to pick up one or two items.

  9. The Hidden Object Scenes are basic Listed items with no interactions available. Even masterful in ways. No way will I buy it. Likewise, the storyline does a good job of guiding you through the tasks, which are interesting and fairly easy to complete. The platinum edition has a button at the top of the screen with a built-in walk-through which I didn't use, but did check out.

  10. It is truly something special. I have given the platinum edtion four stars only because I don't think enough was added to the game to make it worthwhile. Graphics were beautiful. The graphics are clear, there are two modes of play, hints recharge a bit slowly in advanced mode, and HO scenes aren't cluttered. The map still has room for improvement, you cannot use the map to travel, and because there are so many paths to choose, it sometimes becomes confusing as to which way you need to go in order to complete a task.
