I love BF games but have never written a review prior to this. There was a lot of going back and forth through the locales in order to complete tasks. Now saying that, I did use Among the Heavens hint at the end of the game. An added bonus was collecting the puzzle pieces to learn secrets about the island. The hint button gives real hints - not just tells you what Cute Knight do next. Sercets hidden object games, of which there are only 18, tended to be on the easy side, but I am an expert, after all! It wasn't so difficult that hints or cheats were necessary. Some commented on the back and forth of switching scenes, but that added to the fun.

As I just mentioned, the plot is great. Not too many hidden object games, but rather a nice blend of games and puzzles. It gets better and better as it progresses. This game could have been phenomenal with voiceovers, as there was quite a bit of dialogue in the game. She sends her regrets - sarcastically, of course - but says she, "unlike some of us in the house," does not have time to be playing games, writing guides, and pleasing the public. As a result, I became totally immersed in this game and all of my troubles literally faded away as I forged on and tried to save the beautiful fairies from the evil witch. This is quite refreshing after so many creepy, gloomy tales of death, despair, insane asylums, and other factors of weirdness. Let me tell you a little story I personally think she's just really stressed over final exams, final papers, and realizing she's moving back to Pennsylvania to live with her parents full-time for the first time in years.

  5. I loved the graphics and music. So many games are the same old search a room, place an object, a mini-game or HOS once in awhile, and a lot of back tracking. If you are wondering why you haven't heard from Lucy in a really long time, well, she's been really busy with school.

  7. Even though the graphics aren't perfect and the HOS aren't interactive I like the structure of this game, with a lot of backtracking, collectible notes and no sparkles in advanced mode. He tells you, you must find the four cursed pearls and destroy them, because they are slowly destroying Arcelia Island. The Secrets of Arcelia Island is an all-around great game.

  11. There were no voiceovers! I particularly liked the fairies. You can choose to you don't have to find 42 story pieces, which at the end of the game, you can put together in your journal like jigsaw puzzles and read more about the story behind Arcelia.
