A recent game with " doors" in the title is very apt here, if not even more so. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Nojhog from Almost Perfect The story is fantastic and it actually incorporates the running around and puzzle solving into the plot so that it actually makes sense. This is a game that I will play again and again. What a perfect villain! I won't ruin it with spoilers. The regular gameplay finishes the story off nicely, but the bonus game was a real surprise! I'll just say this, if you love HOG games with twists and suspense, this is a game for you. There aren't a whole lot of HOS but they are very well done with several items requiring some type of interaction. My only complaint with the sound effects is the incessant coughing by the main character. Puzzles are a challenge which makes it a lot of fun. She's finished the game, so why can't I?!? His comments over the loudspeaker and the sight of him the few times you actually meet him are deliciously wicked and evil! This is the future of HOGging.

The regular gameplay finishes the story off nicely, but the bonus game was a real surprise! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by pennmom36 from Brink Of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome CE I had forgotten just how awesome this game is, I played Bribk game in it's entirety when it was first released in But Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome Collectors Edition times so far, I've gotten stumped and the hints, map, Syyndrome journal for taking Fort Defense have helped me. You definitely get value, lots of HOS, twists and turns music OK and if voice gets on your nerves you Asian Riddles 4 silence him!! I agree with some of the other reviewers that the corpses can be disturbing to see, so if Pretty Snails 2 can get past them then the rest of the darkness can be enjoyable, especially the dialogue. The hints could be like the last similar game, where the arrow points to where you should go next, instead of the hint just saying "there's nothing to do here" because usually, I'm in an area that has something that needs to be done but I need a clue on where else to go to complete the element! It's a long game. Amazing acting that makes this game both creepy and exciting. Date published: Bud Redhead 4 out of 5 by annshg from Great Hidden object game with a few interesting puzzles Great story line very entertaining, fantastic sound quality, puzzles not too difficult, alot of backtracking but this adds to the story line. I guess this bothers me so much because I was really enjoying the game at the beginning, but now I don't even know if I want to finish it because Mystery P.I.: The Vegas Heist be daggone if I keep asking my mom for Edirion. Graphics are great. What impressed me most about this game was the visual and audio detailing. The puzzles and HOS's are very well done and fun. I look forward to your future games. The rooms were beautiful with a dark twist.

PC Longplay [273] Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome (Collectors Edition) (Part 1 of 2)

This is a game that I will play again and again. The storyline is fantastic. The puzzles were fairly simple but were fun and required some thought There are dead people everywhere posed as works of art, is Anna still alive? Things take an unexpected turn when Sam is lured into a huge mansion with explicit orders to arrive alone and alert nobody, if he wants to see his love Anna alive! This is the first time in a very long time that I was sad to see a game end. The hints could be like the last similar game, where the arrow points to where you should go next, instead of the hint just saying "there's nothing to do here" because usually, I'm in an area that has something that needs to be done but I need a clue on where else to go to complete the element! I guess this bothers me so much because I was really enjoying the game at the beginning, but now I don't even know if I want to finish it because I'll be daggone if I keep asking my mom for help. The puzzles while a bit challenging are not so difficult to make the game frustrating. In addition to a lovely soundtrack, you're regularly taunted by the main antagonist and his delivery is delightfully disturbing! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by pennmom36 from Brink Of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome CE I had forgotten just how awesome this game is, I played this game in it's entirety when it was first released in This is quite annoying, and I'm developing a defeatist attitude about it. I love Hidden Object Games and this one is the best one I have played by far!!!

Some of the puzzles and mini games were quite challenging. Rated 5 out of 5 by Monia from absolutely the best this is the best big fish game i ever played. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the corpses can be disturbing to see, so if you can get past them then the rest of the darkness can be enjoyable, especially the dialogue. I wish I had gotten the collectors edition. Date published: Rated 3 out of 5 by MamaCoco1 from Like it, but annoying at times The storyline is definitely interesting, and when I can move along pretty easily without being confused it's fun. I had previously thought that RtoR, Raincliff and Phantasmat were the most expansive games, but this has them all beat, I think, in sheer number of locations and scenes. The HO scenes are fantastic and easy enough to find with the added element of having to complete tasks to find certain objects. Thank goodness - I never would have gotten that train started! I'll just say this, if you love HOG games with twists and suspense, this is a game for you. There aren't a whole lot of HOS but they are very well done with several items requiring some type of interaction. I love Hidden Object Games and this one is the best one I have played by far!!! The Collector's Edition is worth the cost as the Guide helps with some of the clues; some of the objects or steps can be obscure and hard to locate. The hints could be like the last similar game, where the arrow points to where you should go next, instead of the hint just saying "there's nothing to do here" because usually, I'm in an area that has something that needs to be done but I need a clue on where else to go to complete the element! To me, a solid 5 out of 5. The bonus chapter was quite long and just as much fun as the main story.

The graphics are excellent, the storyline is engrossing and the language is perfect unlike other HOGs where it's obvious the programmers are not native English speakers. I love Hidden Object Games and this one is the best one I have played by far!!! I was stunned to see the game is only MB in size, considering the expansive gameplay, and even a 10 minute video interview with the Devs in the bonus extras! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by glucophage from Which will roll first, the credits or your head? But several times so far, I've gotten stumped and the hints, map, nor journal for taking notes have helped me. I'm a huge HOG fan and this game doesn't disappoint. The man Sam believes is responsible suffers from Dorian Gray Syndrome, he was abused by his father as a boy and as a result has been obsessed with his lost youth, obsessed with aging and obsessed with the anti-hero Dorian Gray. A truly original, one of a kind game! I agree with some of the other reviewers that the corpses can be disturbing to see, so if you can get past them then the rest of the darkness can be enjoyable, especially the dialogue. It is still one of the best Hidden Object Games in ! My only complaint is that some of them were a little small in the pop up window and difficult to see. What a perfect villain! In addition to a lovely soundtrack, you're regularly taunted by the main antagonist and his delivery is delightfully disturbing! Things take an unexpected turn when Sam is lured into a huge mansion with explicit orders to arrive alone and alert nobody, if he wants to see his love Anna alive! This was one of the best psychological thrillers ever offered here at BFG in a casual game format.
